With Summer in China, you can take courses in English while getting hands-on experience and exposure to Shanghai's international businesses and global practices. You will also take a Chinese language course on an urban campus in one of the most important cities on the planet on the planet. Summer in China is a unique way to learn a new language and explore a fascinating country!

  • Experience Shanghai - Shanghai is the commercial and financial center of mainland China and has been the cultural and economic center of East Asia for half a century. 
     
  • Immerse yourself - Learn Chinese culture through language and culture classes and participate in various excursions to important historic sites in Shanghai and throughout the region.
     
  • Learn business practices - Get real, hands-on experience through first-hand visits to international companies. Complement your academic experiences with class projects before your final presentation to Chinese business managers. 
     
Academics:
On Summer in China, you’ll be in enrolled in a Chinese language course and have the option take to take courses on Chinese cultural studies and international business. 

Location:
Shanghai, China is located on the estuary of the Yangtze River, the largest river in China and one of the most important to the lifespan of the country.  Shanghai has become one of the world’s largest and most influential economic, technological and international trade hubs of the 21st century.  Due to this, the city boasts a population of over 23 million people, which is more than triple the size of NYC!  Like many parts of China, modern meets tradition as you gaze out into the blended skyline. As the largest city in China with a rich colonial past, Shanghai is infused with both ancient Chinese history and a modern, even Western, touch.
