Program Information:

Study and intern for a full semester in Sydney!  You will have the chance to choose from a wide variety of classes and placements, while taking full advantage of all that Sydney has to offer.  Local staff will be there to facilitate the placement process and will help to ensure that you find a placement that fits well with both your professional and academic goals.  Get the most out of your semester experience by combining your studies and your internship!

Here are some things to expect while on this unique program:
  • Exciting extracurricular opportunities – We’ve got a number of options of activities to get involved in.  Students can join the Ultimate Frisbee or rugby clubs and the Global Leadership Program offers students a chance to attend cultural workshops and hear fascinating speakers.  Whichever options you choose, they are sure to be perfect opportunities to get to know other students.

  • Exceptional travel location – Have you ever wanted to visit Thailand, spend an afternoon on a beach in Fiji, or see landscapes from the Lord of the Rings in New Zealand?  Since you’re already in the Pacific, why not use your free time to explore other parts of the area too? Don’t forget that Australia offers many unique locations to explore as well; take a trip to the outback or spend some time at the Great Barrier Reef!

  • Professional development complements personal growth - With a 10 or 20 hour per week internship, you will get to work alongside professionals in your field. That means you might have to head home a bit earlier from a barbeque from time-to-time, but your internship experience will be more than worth it!

Location:
Sydney is considered to be the gateway to Australia and has been hailed as both a cosmopolitan and dynamic city that combines history and culture with beautiful scenery.  Sydney is Australia’s largest city with a population of 4 million and its location along the southeast coast of the Tasman Sea makes Sydney Harbor one of the most stunning in the world, complete with easy-to-reach sandy beaches nearby!  The city is famous for its Sydney Opera House, which has been listed as a World Heritage site, and the restaurants and cafes give the city another boost by providing visitors with outstanding fresh, local produce and world-class wines.  All of this, combined with a sunny and moderate climate and a relaxed lifestyle, makes Sydney a great place to visit.
