Program Information:
Take an entire semester to learn about the amazing architecture in the historic city of Rome. This program takes place at the Pantheon Institute, which is just outside the beautiful exterior of the actual Pantheon. You will be given the opportunity to learn about architecture both inside and outside the classroom. Look forward to all that this program has to offer:

  • Practice your Italian - Study the language at the university, then travel around Italy so that you are able to compare various architectural styles.

  • Study architecture in the perfect location - Rome is the perfect place to study architecture because it is home to so many world wonders. It will help you practice and fully understand the history of architecture, so that you may improve your skills and ace your coursework.
  • Immerse yourself in the culture - Rome is the hub of culture in Europe. There's a never-ending list of monuments, concerts, museums, and art galleries to visit. Take a break from school to go visit the Coliseum, Roman Forum, Pantheon, and much more!
Academics:
The Pantheon Institute offers specialized programs for advanced students of landscape architecture and architecture. To qualify, you must have completed a minimum of two years or more of architecture or landscape architecture study. The curriculum at the Institute is geared to enhance your studies and complement courses that you have already taken.

Take courses that apply to your chosen field of study, but enjoy the experiential learning aspect of this program. Take local excursions to help you get the most out of your time in Rome. There are many activities, excursions, and social opportunities, so there will never be a dull moment!

Student Life:
Start your program with a three day orientation, which gives you a chance to meet fellow international students and adapt to living in the heart of Italy. You'll be briefed on life in Rome, about health and safety, and be given a walking tour. This will give you the chance to familiarize yourself with the city and decide whether or not to take Italian language courses.

Our on-site staff is available all semester to help you with anything you need. They will point out hot spots to visit the best shops, markets, wineries, churches, piazzas and more. You'll never run out of things to do while studying in Rome!

Highlights:
  • Enjoy excursions to the Roman castles, open-air market and more!
  • Try your hand at experiential learning only steps away from the Pantheon
  • Explore the cafes in search of delicious and authentic Italian food
  • Relax in the warm and inviting Mediterranean climate
  • Learn under a focused curriculum with fellow architecture students
