Program Information:
Immerse yourself in the culture of both Rome and Barcelona with our Mediterranean Culture program. Choose to take one of the local languages, as well as courses that apply to your major. Courses are offered in international relations, art history, and so much more! Here are some things to look forward to:
  • Complete cultural immersion - Take your learning outside of the classroom with a live flamenco show in Barcelona and some homemade gelato in Rome. Take our cooking classes so that you can make your own authentic Spanish and Italian food. 
  • Excursions and social activities - Enjoy the variety of excursions that CISAbroad will organize for you and don't miss out on a moment of your time in these two amazing cities. 
  • Choose classes that apply to your major - Earn 12-15 credits in only eight weeks while touring around the Mediterranean. Classes are available in two different languages (Spanish and Italian) and in a variety of subjects that may qualify for credit back home at your university. Take classes in art, history, culture, and more. 
Academics:
You will have the unique opportunity to spend time in two countries and immerse yourself in each unique culture for a given amount of time. Earn 12-15 credits in only eight weeks with classes in either Spanish, Italian or English. Take elective courses or courses that apply to your chosen field of study!

Student Life: 
You will be studying at the American University of Rome, which has been known for its well-rounded study abroad programs for the last 40 years. Experience Rome at the American University of Rome with its challenging and rewarding curriculum alongside other international students. In Barcelona, you will be studying at Barcelona International College. Practice both your Catalan and Spanish, both in the classroom and out in town with the locals.
