CEA Shanghai, China - International Internship
(Outgoing Program)
CEA Shanghai Center & East China Normal University
The International Internship program is designed for students focused on enhancing their career development skills through an international work placement, while immersing in Chinese culture and continuing to earn academic credit. Your internship will be complimented by courses at the CEA Shanghai Center and East China Normal University.
As China's "Gateway to the West," Shanghai boasts an ancient history tucked under its iconic skyline. With a long history of trade as China's leading port town, Shanghai is considered a golden land of opportunity for many Chinese in the 21st Century. Its young, trendsetting population is known for its fascination with everything hip, and ultra-modern, but the city's colonial past is not hard to find as you explore its many green spaces, park bridges and interlocking canals.
Shanghai is the ideal place to observe the making of China's future first-hand. Its economy once based primarily on fishing and textiles, today the city has flourished as an important center of commerce between the East and West, and has become a multinational hub of finance and industry. Learn some of China's traditions through hands-on CEA activities. Practice early morning Taiji alongside locals, learn and participate in a tea ceremony or try your hand at calligraphy.
CEA provides study abroad programs in 13 countries and 22 cities around the world. Contact your CEA Admissions Counselor today: 1-800-266-4441
