Experience Madrid

Known for its innovative art and culture, Spain's capital city boasts an abundance of opportunities for you to live the lifestyle of a true madrileño. Spend your days exploring the magnificent, historic architecture at the Royal Palace, Santa Cruz Palace, and the Telecommunications Palace. Check out the Temple of Debod, a 2,000-year-old gift from the Egyptian government. Enter the Triangle of Art -- the Prado Museum, Reina Sofía Museum, and Thyssen Museum -- and study the artistic trends that have inspired so many, from classical Velázquez, Goya, and El Greco to Picasso and that most shocking of vanguards, Miquel Barcelo.

When the sun goes down in Madrid, the streets spill over with madrileños, all ready to celebrate and flood the dance floors until the wee hours of the morning. Historic buildings on Gran Vía host many of Madrid's cinemas and theaters, and you can find international designers' shops along "The Golden Mile," along with lively rooftop bars like the Hotel ME Penthouse.
