Program Description:
JNDA
The NDA is a military academy which educates and trains future leaders of three Japan Self-Defense Forces. Its educational curricula perfectly satisfy the Japanese University Standards which other ordinary universities follow as well. Therefore graduates of the Academy receive academic degrees in Science, Engineering, or Social Science.
  • Cadets live on campus.
  • Defense sciences are taught.
  • Defense training is offered.
  • Cadets are strongly recommended to join athletic clubs.
VMI cadets may select from many different courses of study at JNDA, however all courses are taught entirely in Japanese.  The month of September is spent studying the Japanese language.  There is a study tour of Japanese culture the last week of September and first week of October, before regular classes becgin.  There is also a study tour to Iwo Jima in December.
