Community Development Program in Cape Town

Program Overview

This program is offered in conjunction with the Student Health and Welfare Community Organization (SHAWCO), an NGO based at the University of Cape Town. It consists of volunteer work teaching computer skills to adult learners and tutoring local middle school student.

Additionally, you will discuss your fieldwork in weekly reflection sessions and learn skills to support your teaching as well as relating your experiences to the themes of the core course.
