Archaeological Field Study in Italy
This unique three-week program, combining traditional hands-on excavation with innovative computer based digital archaeology, is offered by the Arcadia Sicily Center. Students will spend two weeks excavating and recording their findings at an ancient site near Syracus, Sicily, and one week at the Arcadia Sicily Center discussing the main issues of field archaeology and engaging in cutting edge digital archaeology.
Sicily is a land of discovery, whether at an ancient sanctuary or the contemporary cities of Catania and Syracuse. You will begin that discovery, digging abroad in the Field School in Archaeology.
