Students take Greek language at a level appropriate to ability - intermediate, or advanced. Classes are held four to five hours per day, five days per week, for six weeks, in the Arcadia Center for Hellenic, Mediterranean and Balkan Studies. This intensive language learning experience is equivalent to two semesters of university-level instruction in Modern Greek language.
The Arcadia Center is located in Pangrati, a residential neighborhood located near the original Olympic Stadium from the 1896 Games. Pangrati mirrors modern Greece, blending traditional nineteenth-century Athenian family residences and open air markets with contemporary office buildings and trendy cafes and tavernas. Students have wireless access in both the Center and their accommodation.
