Program Description:
Six DIS Architecture & Design options give you an opportunity to explore the essential nature of world-renowned Danish architecture and design. You will obtain the keys to understanding the Scandinavian design culture through lectures, a study tour, and direct engagement with local faculty

DIS is known for its cross-disciplinary model. You will study and work on projects alongside students from all areas and levels of design and architecture

Architecture, Architecture Foundations, Graphic Design, Interior Architecture, and Urban Design offer 7 credits: a 6-credit studio course (incl. study tour) and a 1-credit Visual Journal course. Furniture Design in Scandinavia is 9 credits: a 6-credit studio (incl. study tour) and a 3-credit lecture course

All Architecture & Design options can be combined with a course from Session 1 (May 25 - June 14)

You will go on faculty-led study tours together in Scandinavia and engage with examples of historical, modern, and contemporary Scandinavian architecture, interior architecture, urban signage, and urban planning. Furniture Design in Scandinavia will visit Finland and Sweden to focus on Scandinavian furniture design, interior design, architecture, and the furniture manufacturing industry
