CIEE Liberal Arts Program in Alicante, Spain
Come develop your advanced-level Spanish language skills in a beautiful Mediterranean coastal city.

With intensive language training, Spanish-taught courses in the Humanities and Social Sciences, and direct enrolment opportunities at Universidad de Alicante, studying abroad in Alicante allows you to pursue your academic interests while greatly improving your foreign language skills. And with homestays, volunteering opportunities, a conversational exchange program and a variety of cultural activities and excursions, you’ll enjoy an unique and immersive, intercultural experience.

  • Become a member of a Spanish family or live in the dorms with peers
  • Join a customized Language Commitment Program (QUIJOTES), a Conversational Exchange program (Intercambios), and the Universidad de Alicante International Club
  • Enroll directly in Universidad de Alicante courses alongside local Spanish students
  • Participate in extracurricular activities and excursions in the Alicante province and Spain; visits to museums, sporting events, and theaters
