CIEE Summer Contemporary Germany in Berlin, Germany
How does a city with an extraordinarily turbulent and disquieting past learn forge ahead without irresponsibly disregarding what came before? In Berlin, the center of German cultural and intellectual life you’ll examine the dark history and bright future of this fascinating European capital.

Through coursework and hands-on exploration of storytelling, memorial and public space, you’ll investigate themes of pride, shame, memory while gaining critical insight into contemporary Germany.
