Welcome! We're so excited that you're considering IFSA-Butler's Business in the Arts summer program. This unique program will give you a fun-filled summer in Edinburgh, combined with a once-in-a-life internship experience with the world-famous Edinburgh Festival.

What the Business in the Arts Edinburgh Festival Internship program has to offer

  • The opportunity to learn the business and management side of the arts
  • A combination of practical business courses and hands-on arts experience
  • Courses are taught by University of Edinburgh professors and based at the university's renowned business school
  • An internship at the world-famous Edinburgh Festival is part of the program
  • Participants have the option to purchase tickets for Festival events, shows and productions

  • You may cook for yourself or eat at one of the restaurants on or near campus

Finances

    Any student applying to an IFSA-Butler program can apply for our general scholarship awards, which are $500 for a summer program, $1,500 for semester study, and $2,000 for the full year. We also offer special opportunities such as First Generation College Student scholarships and a Fill the GAP study abroad savings program that matches contributions up to $1,000.
